Twelve butterflies

Hellooooo....
This is an order from my sister.
Every year she surprises her husband with a different concept on his birthday.
This year she came with a concept of 12 for the year 2012. :P
So she asked me to make 12 message cards.
All the cards and butterflies are hand cut. I didn’t have a butterfly punch.
So did a trace of the butterfly on different handmade papers and cut the same.

Also her husband does bit of sketching. So she wanted to frame those sketches.
Luckily I got a wooden textured handmade paper.
So I made four frames as per the sketching measurements.

Hope she likes them.

Happy Crafting!!!
Thanks for dropping by..Would love to see your comments.

Fotos & Frames

This is an order from one of my colleague to make photo frames for his family  photos.
We tried to match the background of the photo with the design on the frames.

Quilled Origami

This is a quick post

I gifted one of my friend an origami kusudama.
Now it sits as a decorative piece at my friend's desk at her workplace.
But I was missing that kususdama so made one for myself.
This time I added the flavor of quilling as well

This week I was busy doing something.. you know what is it???
I made few Origami roses with the help of the tutorial. Its a medium level origami.. but you can do it with little patience

Somehow managed to make one, two, three and many….

My friend and neighbor wanted to make few frames to keep her son’s pics.. so she learnt and made few
Now we both started a small business.Neighbors in our apartments come with their kids photos and we make the photo frames for them. We did keep a stall at our apartment’s carnival and sold few frames.. we named our creatins as PURPLERED creations.. soon you can find our website

We make customized photoframes with different colours, sizes, shapes and work.
Customers come with different requirements like colour of the frame should match with the wall colour, dress of the kid in the pic, bead work on photo

If you like any, want to gift special personalized gifts, please do order,I can customize the way you want and I am sure your loved ones will love them.. lot more models to be added soon

Origami and Kusudamas

Today I want to share few of the origami creations made by me.

Kusudama means ball of origami units. Origami is the art of folding paper.. Its Japan art.
I love to make origami kusudamas introduced by Tomoko fuse. The fun part is the assembling of all the units. I searched internet for instructions to make these models. Succeeded in finding few and making few.

These pics were actually taken by my friend Deb whose hobby is photography. He photography skills brought the real beauty to my creations.

Those origami stars are made by me and added them as a special effect to kusudamas

Here is the Christmas tree which I made with the help of instructions from Tweety Atelier site. You get loads of instructions for different origami creations from his site..very inspiring!!
Lot more to learn and fold
Happy Folding!!!
